On Tuesday, I had the priviledge of meeting with three churches who were in the throws of the chaos caused by the Eaton Fire. One pastor was our church planter, Pastor Christopher Spolar whose building they were meeting in burned down, another a church whose facilities has turned into a relief center in Sierra Madre, and another who is the Pastor of a historical black church in Pasadena who had 42 families lose their homes.

The devestation is unlike anything we've ever experienced in Los Angeles and we are far from it being over. Our church has also sprung into action collecting resources and making deliveries. I'd like for us to focus once more on praying for this tragedy, especially as our own church family continues to adapt and serve in the midst of the fires. Would you use this prayer guide to take some time today to pray?

Eaton Fire Prayer Guide For Emergency Responders
Pray for their safety and protection as they work tirelessly in difficult conditions. May they be shielded from harm and strengthened in their mission. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." (Isaiah 43:2 NIV)

For Government Officials and Crisis Response
Pray for wisdom and discernment in their decision-making as they coordinate relief efforts and provide leadership during this challenging time. "For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." (Proverbs 2:6 NIV)

For Evacuees
Pray for those who have been displaced from their homes, that they may receive the support, provision, and comfort they need in this season of uncertainty. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 NIV)

For Loss of Homes, Businesses, and Churches
Pray for those who have lost so much, that they may find strength and support from God and the community around them. "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea." (Psalm 46:1–2 NIV)

For All Who Lost Loved Ones
Pray for the friends and families of the five people who lost their lives in the fire, that they may be comforted in their grief. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18 NIV) Thank you for lifting up these needs in prayer during this difficult time.

The Xray and ultrasound doesn't show it has spread; the doctors think it may be contained in the cyst & Ovary?
