YOUTHFUL PRAYERS
Not many of us got to grow up in a Christian household that truly taught us the gospel and nurtured our faith. I wish I had that! I didn't give my life to Jesus until I was about 19-20 years old! I know some folks who didn't give their lives to Jesus until their 50's, 60's and even later! Listen to this prayer from Psalm 71:5-6 which reflects on one's youth:
 
5 For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord,
    my confidence since my youth.
6 From birth I have relied on you;
    you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.
    I will ever praise you.
17 Since my youth, God, you have taught me,
    and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
 
My prayer for my son, Leo, who is 2 years old which I pray every time I lay him down to sleep is this, "May he come to know you, Lord, at the earliest age possible". This is my dream and hope and prayer for Leo. Not his academic success. Not that he chooses the right career. Not that he becomes the best soccer player in his soccer class (though this would be awesome!). That he puts his faith in Jesus at the earliest possible age. This is my 'youthful prayer'. 
 
On Friday, a couple of dozen youth from our church are heading to camp and I thought it would be a perfect moment to shout them out and ask for your prayers to accompany them. Many of them know Jesus, and surely, some don't. Our church loves our youth and we desire to make disciples of them who will have a long-lasting faith that will impact the world! Would you take a moment to pray this prayer over them? "May they come to know you, Lord, at an early age!" Let's pray that when they come back we will hear of many lives changed through the gospel!

  2. Youth Spring Camp | Pray for Pastor Kimy and her team as they make their way to camp on Friday with a couple dozen youth from our church. Pray for changed lives, healing, and salvations!

  3. Patty Turbyfill | Please pray for my good friend Carla who is having major back surgery on Monday! Fusion and 2 cages installed! Please keep Carla in prayer and for her salvation! Also please pray for my friend’s 3-year-old daughter who has terrible seizures. She will be having major brain surgery sometime soon!

  4. Debra Cobler | Please pray for my son, he was rushed to the hospital! His heart was fluttering too fast! He is home but he is so worried about it, and he is not sleeping well now! Please keep him up in your prayers!

  5. Rona Hodges | Please pray for my brother, Russell. We don't know where he is or if he's safe. We are so worried.

  6. Michael Lumpkin | Pray for a speedy recovery I had a 5 1/2-hour hip surgery.

  7. Derrell Thomas | Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted and suffer for His name. For those who are tortured, pray for deliverance, either by freedom, or taken home quickly to Him.

  30. Maria Vasquez | I have forgiven others all but need prayers against thoughts of resentment that suddenly come in me and keep God from answering my prayers.

  31. Kathleen Gurley | Can you please pray for me and ask the others to also I'm have a tumor in my lung, and I will be getting treatment when I get out of the hospital to shrink it. God bless you all I love and miss you all. I was told that I have aggressive lung cancer, and it doesn't sound good. I will let you know after the Dr comes today. Thank you for praying for me.

  32. Patti Feolo | Please pray for my brother Ron & his son Andy & daughter Jolon as my sister in law Sharon died Friday night 3/7/25 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Apple Valley from a stroke.

  33. Michael C | My brother Humberto needs surgery to be done. Pray they can find a surgeon that will do the surgery and to Jesus to heal with his wounds. Jesus already paid the price on the cross. May Humberto to come out walking, healed and blessed in Jesus mighty name. Amen. Humberto has been in the hospital for 3 weeks and doesn’t have any infection yet. They have been giving antibiotics, but too much is not good for this kidney and body heal him from this protect his body in Jesus’ name amen.
