HOLY WEEK PRAYERS
What would you say was the most difficult week of your life? Go ahead, hit reply and shre with me! And what was your prayer life like during that time?
 
Imagine if on the most difficult week of his life, Jesus prayed YOUR PRAYERS! What if, by the power of the Holy Spirit, the prayers you wrote down today Jesus borrowed and prayed for himself? Pastor Joel, where are you going with this? 
 
Hundreds of years before Jesus incarnated and walked the Earth, various men, moved by the Spirit, wrote prayers reflecting on their own lives and experiences. Hundreds of years later, during Holy Week, Jesus quoted or referred to those prayers and applied them to his own experience, thus, fulfilling those prayers. Let me show you some examples of the prayers Jesus borrowed during Holy Week...

These are the prayers we know Jesus prayed during Holy Week. Prayers during false accusations, rejection, identity, betrayal, abandonment, suffering, death. As we continue through the most historically and spiritually significant week of the year, may we journey with Jesus, and pray his borrowed prayers, may we too, keep him company as we remember his most difficult week.

PASTORAL PRAYER REQUESTS

  1. HOLY WEEK | Make this week the most holy week so far in your life. Come to our Spy Wednesday service at 7pm, Good Friday at 7pm, and pray that God would continue to touch our hearts and that of those who are newly drawing near to him! 
  2. RESURRECTION OFFERING | As we head into Easter, we pray that you would consider doubling your weekly average offering to say thank you for the cross, and thank you for the empty grave! This special offering helps keep up with ministry through the Summer. prayerfully consider how God may be blessing and moving you to give. 
  3. DRIVE THRU COMMUNION FRIDAY | If you happen to be missing our Friday and Sunday services, or are a shut-in, we will be serving communion at 10am. Drive through our alley and Pastors Joel & Sean would love to bless and serve you.

  1. Jade McMillen | I just need prayer for my family right now due to a loss in the family. We are sad about it, but grateful he knew the Lord. Please pray God brings us all comfort.

  2. Michael C | I would like to get a Prayer for sore throat pain, stress, and anxiety.

  3. Dolores Trevino | Please keep my cousin Andrea Williams in prayer. She lost her only daughter and four of her grandchildren in a house fire yesterday.

  4. Melissa Whitecotton | Please prayer for my family, we lost our 11-year-old dog, Bailey yesterday. We are all very sad and I just want prayer to heal our broken hearts.

  5. Jessica Sebastian | Please pray for my mom's health & healing. I pray she finds her way back to her faith.

  6. Jennie Dorsch | Please pray for Carrie who is having another surgery this morning. She just had an 8-hour surgery on Friday and now is going back.

  7. Marcus Gutierrez | Pray more youth to get saved!

  8. Tammy Marler |  Please pray for my daughters, they are mourning the loss of their father. Please pray for my best friend Araceli for complete healing cancer. Please pray for comfort and healing of my stomach issue and anxiety.

  9. Katherine Brown | Praise God, for my niece and nephews who are graduated this year. I believe God will bless their efforts with success. They are blessed and protected.

  10. Pauline Giel | Please pray for our daughter "Chastity" who has an infection in her mouth and head. A result of the chemo treatment.

  11. Abygueil Garcia | To guide me thru my grief and struggles that my disabled son and I are going thru.

  12. Rochelle Denman | My health issues, my friend’s cancer and to find my friend father he is missing.

  14. Miriam Hunte | Please pray for $12k in closing costs to be provided via gifts for my home as the closing will be at the end of April.

  23. Daniel Lopez | Please let's pray for my friend Briece to have a quick recovery from her skin graph surgery she underwent yesterday. Another prayer to my friend Jorge and his family. His brother passed away recently. It is tough to lose a loved one. One more prayer request for Laura Garoutte. She is signing up for rehab this weekend. May the Lord give her the strength and wisdom to overcome her alcohol addiction.

  24. Crystal Mulinix | Please pray for me to resist worldly temptations, and to show love to others as a good example to others. For God to use me as a blessing to others, Pray God watches over my family and their health and their own relationships with Him to be strengthen.

  25. Christina Rendon | I'm on my twelfth day of sobriety, so I ask for the strength to continue my walk and for the strength to keep going when it gets hard. I lift up my daughter, Alina, and my grandson Julian. They moved out and I've been sad lately. I would love to lift them up in prayer for protection as they go out into the world.
    I also would like to pray for a baby named Geo. Geo is blind deaf and is unable to walk. He relies solely on his parents for his health. He's on a feeding tube and my family used to foster him. He was returned to his family, and his health has worsened. Please help me pray for the baby.
    I would also like to lift up my son, Andrew, who moved to Arizona, and he is working. He lacks confidence, so I pray that he’ll continue to push through his uncomfortable feelings and continue to grow.
    Pray for my daughter, Alyssa, who is full of feelings and emotions that sometimes even overwhelm me. I just pray for steady feelings for her.
    I pray for all of my children to know the Lord and for them to see themselves through the Lord's eyes and not their own.
    I would like to lift up my daughter's friend Caesar, who has agreed to come to church with us. This Sunday. He has a curiosity that I would love help feed with Jesus.

  26. Reginald Van Appelen | Please pray for the men I work with. They are they in need of healing, direction, and comfort.
    Also pray for me to lean on God's understanding and wisdom. To help me get out of the way so he can move in and through me.

  27. Lorena Duarte | For my mom with 2nd stage cancer and myself, I'm having a procedure on Monday morning.

  28. Rhonda Hendricks | Need prayer to be delivered from work related stress. Healing in my entire body. Continuous grace and mercy for my family and friends.

  31. MIchelle Valdivia | Hi! Please pray for my school district, ABC Unified, that they can financially support all who work there. I love my job & it was truly a blessing from God. If schools close, people can bump others off the same position. I'm not worried about my position but for others. The kids need us.

  34. Nicole Medrano | I need some prayer for my daughter Jayleen. Her anxiety and IBS issues are starting up again. They got her on a new medication, but it seems to be making it worse. She has missed two days of school because of it.

  35. Darryl Poston | Prayer's for Rolet's shoulder & eyes as we wait and allow God to do what He wants to do. Whatever He wants, we will praise Him anyhow.

  36. Nicky Kelly | Pray for God's wisdom for Tony on what to do & safety/protection for him and the girls. He's in such a dire situation! Prayer Update: Carrie has gone out of control, declined the surgery and threatening Tony with arrest! I believe she is either hormone imbalance or quite frankly having a mental breakdown. Please pray for wisdom for Tony in what to do and safety/protection for him and the girls, this is such a dire situation.

  37. Rona Hodges | Please pray for Stacy as she is going through chemotherapy right now. Put your healing hands her dear Lord.

  38. Celeste Gardiner | My cousin and I see a spiritual battle in our family, and we are aiming to move toward a new legacy... one of prayer and holding each other up for the sake of our Savior. Pray for us all.

  39. Suszan Smith | Please pray to God bless for a miracle to remember things now. Praying for the medication will help me. Pray for miracle and the pills don't harm me.

  40. Cindy Espinoza | Please pray for Pamela, who's in a nursing home and is having anxiety issues.

  41. Janet Ince | Please pray for my neighbor here in St George, they just found a spot in his lung. I was able to testify a bit to him, but he needs the Lord!

  42. Bobbie Sheard | Please pray for my daughter Michella drug, alcohol addiction, and stable housing. Also, her son whom she misses. His father has custody of him. He is doing well. She came out of a domestic violence situation. 6 years ago, and have been going through depression ever since. She was living with me, but her behavior got erratic. I had to use law enforcement to assist me. I am in a senior community. She is homeless, I allow her to come back and forth for a shower and get some rest for some days. Please put Sam, 88 years, on prayer list. He is in the hospital.

  43. Vivian Hamilton | I need assistance with getting another job.

  44. Joji Silo | Please pray for the church at JOB cagamutan garchitorena , the roof was destroyed during typhoon Kristine last Oct 2024. Praying for funds to come in for repair, for now thank God that it doesn't rain during Sunday service.

  45. Le’Brone Richardson | Outreach Week (aka Missions Week)
    Would you join us in praying for our upcoming Outreach Week, when our team will be actively engaging students on high school campuses across LA and Orange County with the Gospel?
    Each day, we'll host rallies during lunch—serving pizza, sharing testimonies, and clearly presenting the Gospel. After school, our teams will gather with students in parks and public spaces to share meals and deeper conversations using tools like Soularium. The week ends with a large Citywide event where students from all campuses gather for worship and a clear call to follow Jesus.
    Please pray for:
    Boldness and love as our students and staff share the Gospel
    Open hearts and divine appointments with new students
    Protection and favor on campuses and in public spaces
    Unity among our team and volunteers
    That many would say yes to Jesus for the first time
    Outreach Week is one of the most important times of the year in our ministry—and your prayers truly make a difference.

  46. Michelle Truby | Hi prayer warriors. I just received a phone call. There is a young man name Cole who attends Saint Barnabas elementary school. He has fluid around his brain, and he is going into surgery now. Friday 4/11 Please lift him and his family up in prayer.

  47. Nicky Kelly | Tony's wife, Carrie, just had her 2nd breast reconstruction repair surgery last week - She is now leaking and will be going in for emergency surgery tomorrow morning, this is a six-hour surgery. Please pray for the doctors' wisdom and for the repair to be done correctly, along for complete healing and recovery.Tracey's father - Battling bladder cancer and will be having surgery on Friday morning. Pray for salvation and recovery.

  49. Maureen Hinds | We ask that our church family continues along with us to lift Stephen Horowitz up in your prayers.

ALL CHURCH PRAISE REPORT
  1. Carolina Flores | Thank you so much for your prayers for my son. Thanks to God. He is out of the hospital now he still continues to do rehab speech and just a lot of physical therapy but thank you so much again. We're doing good. He is a blessing. God has healed him, but there are still a lot to do. Thank you again for keeping us in mind and your prayers, God bless you all.
  2. Maureen Hinds | My husband's close friend Stephen Horowitz is now awake after being in an induced coma since December 1, 2024.  He had a tracheotomy, but is attempting to speak and is able to move his body. We are continuing to believe God for his recovery and are praising with him, his family and the UCLA medical staff that he has made such great physical progress!
  3. Nicky Kelly | Jennie Dorsch - Thyroid biopsy came back negative for cancer!

  7. Luisa Fernandez | Praise report. My friend Virginia is in ICU AND IMPROVING. SHE WAS TAKEN OFF VENTILATOR AND STARTED to eat on her own yesterday. She was able to talk to her daughter. Praise God, the family thanks everyone for your prayers.

  9. Daniel Sherwood | Still in NM. Family is doing well. Praise God.
  10. John Manley | Hello, Prayer Warriors and all others and thank you for all of your prayers, thoughts and gatherings.  I'm in a stage of another surgery to complete this medical procedure once and for all.  Amen.
